Gallery in the Grove promotes a variety of interesting programs & activities…
6 Exhibits per year - September through June, including our widely-acclaimed annual elementary school art exhibition. Each show commences with an opening reception to meet the artist(s) and runs approximately three weeks to six weeks in duration. Both emerging and more established artists are featured.
Visiting Artists in Lambton Schools is an immensely popular program which takes place in January and February. Several artists, sponsored and financed by the gallery, offer their time and talents to teach specific skills to students in fifteen area elementary schools. Artists rotate through the schools so that classes gain experience and techniques with different media. The culmination of this art instruction forms of the Elementary School Art Exhibition which takes place at the gallery in March. Over 700 Grade Six and Seven students participated in 2016.
Gallery in the Grove is extremely proud of our Art Scholarships, which are presented annually at the conclusion of the school year. These scholarships are awarded to deserving candidates who will be furthering their education in the Visual Arts at the college or university level. Scholarship winners are offered the opportunity to exhibit at the gallery.
