Featuring new work by
Mary Groombridge and daughter Rachel Groombridge
This two person exhibit features the provocative works of mother and daughter, Mary and Rachael Groombridge. Their works, punctuated by vivid colours, vibrant movement and striking subject matter explore the impact of relationships and their respective views of the world they live in. Through themes of self reflection, external observation and story telling, their works invite the pleasure of looking and wonder of discovery.
Mary is an accomplished Sarnia artist, art educator, and active force in the local art community. Rachael, recipient of the 2012 Gallery in the Grove Nan Punett Award, Lawrence House Walter Petryschuck Award and JNAAG Art Award graduated from OCADU with her BFA in Painting and Drawing this past spring. She is living in Toronto where she shares a house with a studio and is using the opportunity to focus on her art making .... and loving it.
