ScotiaBank, Bright’s Grove and The Bright’s Grove Optimist Club
Cutbacks due to Covid, meant we had to reduce the 2021 Scholarship Awards to 3, but thanks to the generous donations from Dan Dunsmore of ScotiaBank, Bright’s Grove and The Bright’s Grove Optimist Club, who each donated $500, we were able to increase the number of Scholarship Awards to 4. |

New Lights for the Gallery
Gallery in the Grove recently received a five-thousand dollar capital grant from the Judith & Norman Alix Foundation to replace old light fixtures with new energy efficient fixtures and LED bulbs. "The very root of what we do is operate as an art gallery," explains Kirsty Kilner Holmes, Chairperson, "these new fixtures bring fresh, bright light to the gallery space and we appreciate so much the kindness of Judy Alix and fellow foundation members for their generosity." In the picture is Judy Alix assisting Hugh Hillier with the installation of the new light fixtures. |
